Policies and Procedures
Hours of Operation: Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding official school closings, early dismissals, and holidays. Children enrolled in the Before Care Program must report directly to the cafeteria for check-in. We are not responsible for children who arrive before 7:30 a.m. or those not enrolled in STAR Achievers.
Children must be picked up no later than 6:30 p.m. A tardy fee of $5.00 if I pick up my child between 6:30 and 6:45 pm and an additional 1.00 per minute after 6:45 pm. Repeated tardiness will result in your child’s suspension from the program and/or you child may be remanded to the Office of Child Protective/Family Services located at 400 Sixth St. SW, 202-671-SAFE.
Child Release and Authorization Policy: Children will be released only to persons identified on the application. Only written notification may supercede the original authorization. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Thirty-Day Notice of Withdrawal: It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the program director of intent to remove a child from the program thirty days prior to removal. Parents will be liable for the full monthly fee if written notice is not received.
