July 16, 2020, Message from Principal Hedlund

Dear families,

I know we are all frustrated and want more details about school year 2020-21. I am sorry that I do not have additional information to provide at this time, but Ms. Rottman, the custodians and I are preparing the building and ordering supplies for the start of school. Please know that I am available if you need me for any reason at all. More information will be shared on July 31st.

Below please find an opportunity to represent Ward 4 for PAVE and a new listserv a few parents have organized. Be safe and stay well. I miss seeing you and your children and look forward to seeing you soon.

Shepherd Parent listserv update

Several school parents have created a Shepherd parent listserv, as it will be more important than ever during this upcoming school year that we are connected and able to message regarding a range of topics in various forums.

This listserv is not directly affiliated with school administration or PTA, but we aim to coordinate where relevant. I will continue to send out a weekly email on Fridays (and other days as important news needs to be shared more immediately) and the PTA sends email updates on Wednesdays. These come out via AtoZ Connect. Join here if you aren’t already on the list. The PTA is also doing a massive update to our school website for the upcoming school year. We ask that conversation on the new parent listserv remain respectful and relevant to school conversations and issues. If interested, please join here.
