Think back to when you were a kid…  You knew your friends’ parents.  They knew your parents.  Your parents knew your teachers and your teachers knew them.   And even though our children are growing up in a world that is seemingly more hectic and complicated, we can take comfort knowing that at Shepherd, they are part of a community.  And so are we!

Parents, guardians, and all family members who love and guide Shepherd students are an integral part of the Shepherd Elementary School community.  It is both a blessing and a responsibility.   This section of the website is your portal to volunteer and support activities, and your resource for information.

Parents at Fall Fest 2014

For most of us, the easiest way to get involved and stay informed is through Shepherd’s Parent-Teacher Association—the PTA.  You’re automatically a member, so we hope you’ll join us for our monthly meetings and visit this page often to learn more about how the PTA supports the school.

As former First Lady Hillary Clinton taught us, “it takes a village to raise a child” and here at Shepherd, we’re all members of that village.
